Current composition 01 Read every cell within radius 12 from the same frozen field. Count living cells in each immediate eight-cell Moore neighborhood.02 Neighbor crowding: weight each heading by that neighbor’s adjacent living count ÷ 8. Blend at 87% × min(1, total weight).03 Round to the nearest compass heading. Cancellation or tied directions retain the previous heading.04 B4678/S135678 reads the same frozen Moore counts. Commit births and deaths before movement. Newborns inherit the original Moore headings.05 Survivors attempt 3 adjacent grid moves. Deaths free space; newborns block and wait until the next Step. Occupied or contested destinations block; surviving blocked cells keep their new heading.Influence aligns direction, without pulling toward positions. Crowded cells may align, separate, exchange headings or jam. No continuous steering accumulates between turns.
